After spending the last 2 weeks in Bella Sicilia, eating loads of fresh pesce, doing daily aperitivo's and having excellent wine, I was looking forward to another jam session with the Maschine.
Last night I found some time to kick some summer breeze ass and composed the following snippet.
One more round then it's bottles to the ground.

This week I got a funny email in my inbox. It was in fact an assignment. The email only contained the following mp3 file attached:

(he is briefing me in dutch with a very french accent...)

In fact the guy wanted me to make a snippet in E minor using the chord B as well. He will use this snippet for his test of solfege, he wanted me to use midi, but hey that would be too easy. So I've played some guitar and bass and came up with something nice.

I don't know about you, but I think this feels kinda 70's. You will hear that I started with the bass da funk sample posted earlier. I juiced it up a little bit on the guitar, threw some mellow organ in at some point, and filtered away.

Last Saturday Lex left his dog at home and came to the narkoba studios to produce the one and only trailer trash theme song.
We started off with a rocking blues bassline, added some crazy fx loop recorded in the Nubra valley, and went crazy on the piano.
The goal was to trash the place and the song. Which worked out just fine.

Groovy tune I must say ;-)
